John: Here's the informal way to ask "How much does this cost?" in Filipino.
Camille: [Normal] Magkano 'to?
John: First is a word meaning "how much."
Camille: [Normal] magkano [Slow] magkano
John: Last is the shortened word meaning "this."
Camille: [Normal] 'to [Slow] 'to
John: Note the rising intonation. Listen again to the informal question meaning "How much does this cost?"

John: Now, imagine you're speaking to a stranger. Here's the formal way to ask, "How much does this cost?"
